Brian,

I love the way you captured the ‘give & take’ of Mother Nature and our sometimes-unmerciful Weather . . .

and I breathed a sigh of great relief when at length, Crime had not succumbed to the forces of either!

It's funny to think of the apparent absurdity of you wandering in the trees and brambles yelling "Crime!" A million years ago when I lived in Berkeley I had a dog named Frodo. This was before the movies came out so LOTR was still kind of the esoteric province of nerds and not all that well known in the mainstream. Frodo got out of the yard one night around 1 AM and I had to wander the streets of Berkeley in my pajamas searching for him. During the search it dawned on me that a random weirdo in pajamas wandering around Berkeley in the middle of the night yelling "Frodo!" was so unremarkable that I probly wouldn't get any help finding my dog. I did end up finding him though and brought him home safe and sound.

That is classic. But, in your defense, dogs will come when called by their name. Sheep, not so much. This particular lamb is excessively docile and bleats hardly at all.
